How to Boost Your Rankings Through Internal Links

Sometimes you just need a few new internal links pointing to a piece of content to get it ranking. Here are two ways to improve your internal linking.

Do a site search on Google for your target keyword.

Add relevant internal links from high authority pages to lower authority pages. You can do this by reviewing the UR.

I’m using the Ahrefs Chrome extension in the above shot.

Alternatively, add links from your “best by links” pages or posts to the most relevant pages.

When linking:

  • Make sure you mix up your anchor text. You can get inspiration for anchor text from Google Search Console.
  • You should link to the most relevant pages on your site.

Don’t go into overdrive. A couple of new links is generally all you need.
